TOP TIPS: Inject seventies glamour into your makeup routine

Many recent catwalk makeup looks have drawn upon the looks and trends of the hippie seventies, but it can be a rather tricky trend to pull off if you are not a confident make-up applier. Many a time I have tried and felt that it I looked just caked on with make-up rather than feeling dewy eyed and fresh looking.

REVIEW: The New Origins wonder cream!!

Origins are back with what I would call- A Wonder Cream!! The Youthtopia Firming Face Cream (£45). Both of these Youthtopia  treatments (normal and ultra-rich) aim to help make skin feel younger, tighter and tauter. (It's clinically proven!!) This is all thanks to one tiny herb (the background for all the Youthopia imagery) that flowers up in the remote polar mountains in Siberia known as the Rhodiola rosea or "Golden Root" as it has been rightly dubbed. 
Checking out the Origins website to see the reviews of others, many have quoted that this product is more suited for older skin, and whilst I will agree, there is nothing to say that we cant start early firming our skin for later life! According to the brand- 83% said skin looked firmer and more lifted.

TREND ON TRIAL: Flower Petal Lip

This trend first was seen on Prabal Gurung's Spring/Summer 2012 catwalk and seems to have hit the big time! The Stylist Magazine Beauty Editor even wrote an article about the trend a couple of weeks back.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury from M.A.C was used behind the scenes. Her inspiration was Prabal's vivid flower imagery and bold colours in his designs. Her idea for bold lips and barely there makeup helps compliment the vision of the catwalk show. 

“The way we translate that in the makeup, we have this matte lip juxtaposed with this beautiful dewy sci-fi highlighted skin,” she said. “We wanted it to feel sensual, intoxicating but strong and powerful.” Charlotte Tilbury
